SYMPHONY MODEL(rim and cup complete)

Many different rim styles are available for this series (see Rim Section). The most common combinations of rim and cup my be selected here. To choose a rim not listed here, please make a selection from the "Rims" and "Underparts" sections for the model you are interested in.

The SYMPHONY cup is designed for maximum tonal beauty for those who might be seeking more of a "6/4" type of tonal quality yet with a 4/4 - 5/4 type of focus in the sound. The success of this design can be attributed to the light weight, bellied cup, and counter bored throat. Click on the Additional Images Tab to the right for a glance at the design. The cup has a similar depth to the Helleberg style however it is distinguished with a sizeable "belly" or "gut". This feature combined with the counter bored throat (not pictured) create a balanced mouthpiece that delivers in these areas:

1) Excellent air speed for low range response

2) Excellent flexibility throughout the horn's range

3) Round, sweet sound without any excessive edge at high dynamic levels(power when you need it, without the trash)

The rim inner diameter is 33.3mm for both rims.. The #2 is narrower on the outside 46.5mm and somewhat rounded, the #1 is 47.6mm on the outside and is semi-flat. The throat is .323.

The #1 and #2 rims are available in 2 smaller sizes (curves and thickness are the same, ID is smaller) to include the #1 and #2 "FAIR DINKUM" 32.6mm ID and the #1A, #2A 32.3mm ID.
